Island Choral Experience is fortunate to rehearse and perform within a community that values and continues to support youth activities and the performing arts. Our program has developed a strong network with local churches, schools and dance studios who graciously allow us space for our choirs to practice. In return, we offer no-fee performances for congregations, student bodies, clubs and organizations.

Our philosophy has always been that children come to our program with a love of music. We enhance, nurture and educate, creating a gift to be shared with others. The choirs regularly perform for senior care centers, retirement homes and children's hospitals as our contribution to our community. We also donate tickets to the Mercer Island Park & Recreational Department's annual auction, Mercer Island Youth & Family Services, Childhaven, The CHILD School, and SunRise Center for the Memory Impaired, twice a year.

Local businesses, the Rotary Club, Kiwanis and the Lions Club recognize the importance our program plays in the lives of so many young people and they value the joy the children bring audiences. Their continued support has enabled us to update sound equipment, purchase new risers and offer scholarships to several families yearly.
